The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental undertook its maiden flight on March 20th, 2011, just over a year after the cargo-carrying 747-8F model took to the skies for the first time in February 2010. The final generation of the ‘Queen of the Skies’ comes with several efficiency improvements to lengthen the four-engined plane’s service.
